Just lying still with your eyes closed is equal to 75% actual sleep.
If you can't fall asleep, just lie still and take slow breaths. Pretend you're faking sleep and don't want to get caught. If you can just lie like this, you get 75% rest and feel much better.
Forget those tips that tell you to get up and do something else. If you need to be alert for work the next day, you've got to get rest.
The next day, you can still rest like this if you can just close your eyes for 20 minutes. You don't need to actually fall asleep.
While you might just drift off to sleep, even if you don't, there's no need to fret.
